Passionate Poems takes you on a journey of the author's reminisced thoughts and feelings as a teen through young adult. You get to experience the author's emotional turmoil with love, joy, confusion, and hardships. It took me back to my own time where the emotional drama of coming of age, love, friendships, and finding ones place in society. These poems brought all those things back and more. I'm amazed that the author was able to capture her essence through poems and get it published so the public can share in the experience. Best to read when you have some quiet time to yourself, because this book takes you back.
The poems were enjoyable. The raw emotions of growing up lesbian were sincerely expressed.
I recommend the book to women who have been "jaded" by everyday life. It promises to reignite your lesbian passion.
Exceptional! Not a typical book of poems. Indeed passionate and so very much more. Material that forces you down memory lane with thoughts of lovers, past and present. A sense of reflection. I've read from cover to cover and looking forward for S.K. Martin's volume 3. Another great addition to my library!
