Well, it started out a bit dry, but as the characters evolved, it turned into something like a classic movie from the 1950s or 1960s. I can picture the scenes all in black and white.Pretty clean and tame story telling, so definitely a good read without for and violence, leaving the reader to use their imagination. Good job.

Descent Into Darkness STARFIRE Tom Cowan 9781489559883 Books Reviews
Mr. Cowan's latest novel is his finest to date, the story is a fascinating read from beginning to end, I enjoyed Starfire but Descent into Darkness was much more compelling for me, a great read from beginning to end with various twists throughout. I look forward to his next endeavor, a truly up and coming new author.
I just finished reading Tom Cowan's second novel, Descent into Darkness. The author does a great job rekindling my memories of being a teenager in the 60s. I am amazed how he writes about that time and place. The details are amazing. Plus it is a very good story, suspenseful, and a real page-turner. I am looking forward to reading his next effort.
A fun read good character development and plot interweaving
I can't wait until the kid crashes his bike in the next book & he gets drafted into the army!!!
Entertaining for sure and once again Tom brought me back to my childhood days in the Bronx where Tom and I attended the same school and grew up in the same neighborhood. Enjoyed
Tom Cowan has done it again! He has brought us back to the Bronx of the 60's and woven a multi.layered tale of mystery and deception. This book is a great followup to "Starfire" and you will be hard pressed to put it down. Keep up the good work Mr. Cowan! I can"t wait for your next one!
